Mic Drop: The Mic Drop Tote is a single-strapped tote bag designed to be worn on the shoulder. The strap, which is integrated into the body of the bag, provides opportunities for individualized trimming and seaming details. The pattern also includes pattern pieces for an extended strap length. It is a roomy bag with enough to space your knitting, baby diapers, or books, as well a your wallet, keys and water bottle. The layers of interlining give just enough structure to the tote without losing its slouchy comfortable shape. This pattern was written for an advancing beginner. It assumes basic knowledge of sewing straight and curved seams and applying interfacing. Instructions include applying optional trim, installing a magnetic snap, and sewing a zippered pocket into the lining. While it is written for the beginner sewer in mind, it is a quick satisfying sew for the intermediate and advanced sewist as well. Push yourself to try new sewing skills by applying optional trim to the seams and learning a really neat advanced finishing technique for the handle.
