Tate 'doubled up' on sports bra after fellow fighter's wardrobe malfunction

It didn't shock the world like Janet Jackson's Super Bowl "Nipplegate," but a wardrobe malfunction at UFC on FOX 16 caused Miesha Tate to be extra cautious when her bout rolled around later in the evening.During a victory over Jessamyn Duke on the undercard, Elizabeth Phillips was briefly exposed when her Reebok sports bra ultimately failed to keep her covered. Unfortunately, in the Internet age, a millisecond was all people needed to get a screencap.Uninterested in being exposed to the world in similar fashion, Tate took some extra precautions for her co-main event bout against Jessica Eye."I doubled up after I saw that," Tate told MMAjunkie.com. "I didn’t see it, but I heard about it. I was like, 'I'm putting on another sports bra, and I don't care.' It was a Reebok (sports bra), but it wasn't part of the uniform."I was like, 'I don’t care. I'm putting it on. You can't make me go out there after seeing that fight - with just one (sports bra) on.' I doubled up."It was only the second event with Reebok as the exclusive UFC sponsor, and Tate already has some ideas to improve the overall design of its product."There's definitely some input (I'll share)," she said. "We need a thicker band around the base (of the bra), to kind of make sure it stays down. It's just kind of (too) soft. … You don't want to have to worry about that kind of stuff in the middle of a fight."
